At Sailors World we offer a complete brokerage service for both power and sail. We have an experienced sales staff with over 60 years of boating experience in both power and sail. Our staff and associates boast sailing national champions, sailing school founders, and thousands of hours’ experience on lake, river, and ocean bodies of water in both power and sail.
We only list boats that are the highest quality and cared for used craft. We have boat surveyor knowledge to help you find the used boat that will be the best performing and most trouble free. Remember you can shop the Internet and find good deals, but has the boat been in salt water, was it winterized properly, and was it repaired or under water?
We can take the doubt out of the purchase and be your buying broker with boat builder knowledge to make sure you end up with the best and protect your investment. We negotiate price for you after we confirm the offer you’re comfortable with!
In helping you select a used boat, we have had boat building experience and can identify areas of concern relating to all areas of internal structural integrity and exterior cosmetics. Areas of concern in regards to osmosis, bottom blistering, rotted bulkheads under fiberglass, delaminating, and interior core water absorption and migration can be very costly and effect future resale values dramatically.

our new sailboat sales include the sale of world renowned Catalina Yachts 27-50'. We are Catalina sub-dealers for the Wisconsin dealership of Nestegg Marine. Our Lake Minnetonka store in Wayzata, Minnesota has new Catalina's on sight. Our new boat Catalina deliveries include the most complete commissioning program we have ever seen with full devotion to the customers delivery needs including proper mast tuning and set up, full electronics and systems instruction and complete on the water sailing instruction with all weather tips and proper rig set up. Repeat visits for additional instruction are scheduled as needed.
BOAT CLUB & DOCK RENTALS
Our 79 slip Marina on beautiful Lake Minnetonka has a fully dredged harbor, sea wall with power, well water, pump out and gas island. The modern office building with boater’s clubhouse is situated overlooking beautiful Smiths Bay with a barbecue deck with fireplace, full kitchen, bath and shower areas. We offer a unique power and sail boat lease club with quality boating available for seasonal memberships whereby we supply the watercraft, dock slips and facility for your use. All maintenance, cleaning, insurance is included. Approximately 10 dock slips are used for the club and the remaining quality dockage is rented on a seasonal basis.
